The Desktop Filter Pro is specifically targeted to those with medium to large networks where user-level administration of the policy and account is undesirable for policy reasons.

The Desktop Filter can be installed over your network, pushed out to each Windows computer to be managed. The filter communicates to a local (or hosted) Policy Server which manages the Internet access policies for users within your network, local and remote. The heavy work is done at the Policy Server, keeping the Destkop Filter small, fast, and secure.

Laptop computers are filtered and monitored both inside and outside the local network. The Desktop Filter monitors and controls both web browsing and Internet protocols such as Instant Messaging, file/music sharing, P2P, VoIP connections, streaming media, and email. Full reporting by machine, individual, or group on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis is available.

The user-visible portion of the filter can be customized or even turned off thus reducing potential negative feedback.
