We are located in the hub of the Canadian tech world, Waterloo, Ontario, but don’t think of us as being strictly local in our focus. Our products and services are world-wide — as are many of our Netsweeper team members. From the UK to Malaysia, from India to the Netherlands, our team is comprised of a strong group of motivated and talented individuals.
What we do
Netsweeper is a web-filtering company that has established a reputation for quality, innovative products and responsive customer support both in Canada and around the globe. The credit for Netsweeper’s success over the last 18 years goes to everyone working here — the people we value as employees!
AROUND THE OFFICE!
Why Work at Netsweeper?
Good question! Thankfully, we have the answer…right from our employees’ mouths. In a recent employee survey, our team resoundingly said that being part of our amazing team was a key factor in their enjoyment and success at work. Everyday is a chance to engage with a positive and dynamic group of individuals while working towards a common goal. Our people are our greatest asset, and they make the work motivating, exciting and fun.
While job descriptions and specifics may vary between roles, the opportunities to grow skills in a supportive work environment are there for everyone!
Our employees love the perks we offer! The number one perk—flexibility! No, we aren’t talking about yoga; we are talking about schedules. Most businesses have a very strict 9 to 5 schedule with everyone punching in at the same time. We offer the chance for staff to flex their hours to meet their personal needs. Perfect for the early bird or night owl!
Snacks and activities always help! We believe the team that has fun together, works well together. We have regular activities like BBQs, pizza lunches, games, and outings to keep our minds fresh and our team motivated! We even have our own ping pong table! All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy, and working at Netsweeper is anything but dull!
Netsweeper cares about its employees and wants to support them in their current and future healthcare needs. With this in mind, Netsweeper is happy to offer all full-time, permanent employees healthcare benefits as part of their employment contract. The plans may vary depending on the country in which the person works and resides, but they are comparable in coverage to one another. All these employees also have paid sick days each year to enable them the chance to rest, recover and return to work at their best. Being fair and equitable to each person on our team is important to us, and everyone deserves the peace of mind that comes with healthcare benefits.
Community-Mindedness & Corporate Social Responsibility
Netsweeper is a relatively small company, but that doesn’t exclude us from being active participants in our local community and in the world beyond. We are proud of the many initiatives that we have participated in and the organizations we support. These include encouraging employees to volunteer in community programs, making corporate donations to charities, as well as offering work experiences to local students by regularly participating in co-op programs through Waterloo University, Wilfrid Laurier, Conestoga College and the University of Guelph. We are far-reaching in our goals but have strong roots in our communities.
We hope that this brief overview has helped you to get a better sense of what Netsweeper is all about and what it is like to be a member of our team. We are a proud Canadian company that values the diversity of its personnel and their skillsets, and we offer a rich and cooperative working environment for all. Therefore, with all our job postings, we are seeking strong contributing members to support us in reaching our company’s goals locally and worldwide.
