R;pple, an online monitoring tool that flags harmful content relating to self-harm and suicide, announced today, to mark World Suicide Prevention Day, it has launched new technology to assist with suicide prevention.

This new Google Chrome extension helps make the internet a safer place by redirecting those in crisis from harmful content online to mental health support resources.

It is now available for download on the Google Chrome browser for free onto family laptops and desktops. You can learn how to install R;pple’s new extension here.

R;pple has recently granted Netsweeper access to a list of phrases relating to self-harm and suicide for inclusion into our monitoring platform to help identify students at risk. Keep an eye on your email and the blog for updates on this project.
