Why Block QUICK Protocol?

QUIC reduces traffic visibility. Much of the current infrastructure used to gain visibility today is built on HTTP header inspection of clear text headers and TLS for encrypted traffic to identify applications in use. With the QUIC Protocol this is no longer an option given the reduction in visibility around data leaving the network. Blocking QUIC will push the browser and server to fall back to standard HTTP/HTTPS, allowing traffic to be inspected, secured, and reported.
