6.4.5 EA Release now Available

Netsweeper is pleased to announce the Netsweeper 6.4.5 EA release. The 6.4.5 release is currently recommended for early adopters.

Features in 6.4.5 EA include:

Import/Export from WebAdmin

  • Choose what entries you would like to export from WebAdmin tables: All Entries, Filtered Entries, Current Page, or Selected Entries
  • Import and export Report Definitions for Demand, Scheduled, and Continuous Reports

Deny Pages

  • Can now serve a Deny Page for a specific List
  • Insert meta links as templates into Deny Pages
  • Group, Portal, and Policy linking functionality is added to the Deny Pages
  • SysOps can now access the Global Deny Pages

Additional Features

  • Can select if you want all Policies updated when modifying Category Templates
  • List names and List Items display in the Trace URL Request Tool output
  • libevent DNS library has been replaced by the c-ares library for NSProxy

20712 FEATURE: Choose the entries you would like to export from a WebAdmin table. There are 4 new options for exporting entries: All Entries, Filtered Entries, Current Page, and Selected Entries.

22741 FEATURE: You can now select if you want all Policies updated when you make a Category Template change. This will update the selected Category Template for all attached Policies and Clients.  A new ‘Update References’ checkbox has been added to the ‘Modify Category Templates’ window.  If you don’t select it, the Categories will not be updated and the Template will be set to ‘Custom’.  If it is selected it will update the Categories only for all Policies and Clients set to that Template.
22746 FEATURE: The System-Wide, Shared and Categorization Lists now display in the Trace URL Request Tool output along with the List item.
22752 BUG: Some special characters used in the replace part of the Regular Expression Find/Replace could cause the policy service to deadlock during loading causing a complete filtering outage.
22753 SECURITY: If the Apache httpd service is running, the WebAdmin could be used to  gain unauthorized root access to the System. All customers should contact Netsweeper for a patch for their version of the product.
22790 UPDATE: The WebDB callback function is now safe for any number of columns sent by the server.
22791 BUG: The Screenshot column could cause emailed Reports to fail.
22804 BUG: Profiles could not be created in the Profile Manager.
22817 BUG: The Authportal Deny Page would break group loading for older policy servers 2.6.29.15 to 6.4.2.
22821 BUG: The Date/Time popup would fail to display when editing the Date Filter for WebAdmin logs.
22832 BUG: The TinyMCE would break the Download Proxy Certificate link.
22840 BUG: Lists updates were not being forced when upgrading.  This could cause the 6.3.5 and later release to crash when upgrading from a prior release.
