In the 12th addition of our Two Minute Tips video series, we will show you how Delegated Administration can easily be set up in an education setting. This enables system operators the ability to push filtering policy management to their teachers so that permissions can easily be delegated.
Delegated Administration is the process of adding, removing, and/or changing user access to systems and programs. It can reduce the risk of unauthorized users accessing sensitive data through increased granularity in permissions management. It can also help increase productivity by offloading administrative tasks from IT staff so they can focus on more important things such as managing infrastructure upgrades.
Teachers can have control to make some of their own filtering policy decisions, specific to their needs, when working in the classroom and without intervention. User permissions can be found in the WebAdmin — the web application that manages the Netsweeper content filtering system.
